I think we should all be responsible and minmise our impact on the planet where we can. This doesn't mean that we don't take any overseas holidays, but should take practical steps. For example, for short haul holidays, take the train rather than fly (if this is possible).

If we are going to take a long haul flight, we should invest in carbon offsetting by planting some trees.

Also, perhaps we should all holiday more in our own country of residence. We might get to know the place a bit better!
